The Norco Cougar softball team showed why they are the top seed as they handed the visitors from Hart High School a 2-0 loss Tuesday in the CIF semifinals.

It was a pitching battle as both teams remained scoreless through the first four innings. Norco loaded the bases and squeezed out two runs.
 

Hart started to rally in the final inning, but fell short when the base runner was called out in an exciting play at home plate.
 

Norco now heads to the CIF Finals to face Corona Santiago.
